The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is known as La Grande Dame en Fer, or the Grand Iron Lady, and is a defining feature of the Paris skyline. The architecture and art nouveau accents were contentious at the time of its construction for the 1889 Exposition.

As the French say, time is the ultimate judge, and in the case of the Eiffel Tower, the fact that it is so famous and well-loved now has proven the naysayers wrong. Even at night, the Eiffel Tower is one of the world’s most-visited landmarks.

Where To Eat in 7th Arrondissement

It may be difficult to find restaurants on the 7th that appeal to varied budgets, but not everything here is pricey.

Here are our recommendations for the best restaurants to eat in the Eiffel Tower district, ranging from inexpensive yet good food to lavish feasts.

Budget

Le Comptoir de la Traboule (1 bis Rue Augereau) –  Near the Eiffel Tower lies Le Comptoir de la Traboule, a bistro serving a variety of modest foods. In the kitchen, chef Jules Monnet can be seen at work by diners at the counter.

You can sample a wide variety of items on the menu because this restaurant serves small portions. Despite being in a posh neighborhood, the food is unpretentious and reasonably priced.

Midrange

Brasserie Thoumieux (79 rue Saint-Dominique) – It’s usually a good idea to eat at a Parisian brasserie. French cuisine is always on the menu in brasseries that are open all day long.

Originally opened in 1923, Restaurant Thoumieux is a reimagined version of a Belle Époque brasserie with red banquettes and mirrors. This  restaurant excels with its brunch and lunch set menu.

Luxury

Mariette (24, rue Bosquet) – Lovers of French food should check out this establishment. Make room for stuffed lamb, foie gras risotto, and foie ravioli as well as desserts of apple crumble and vanilla ice cream.

Mariette also has a wide selection of wine, calvados, and cordials on offer. This establishment’s welcoming ambiance encourages visitors to unwind and have a good time. Everyone is made to feel at home here at any time of year.
