1. Bar Hemingway
Address: 15, place Vendôme, 75001 Paris
The place is famous for being liberated from the Nazis by author Ernest Hemingway. It retains its old-world charm with tufted leather banquettes and bar stools, despite a multi-million dollar makeover.
Colin Field, the legendary head bartender, is another thing that hasn’t changed. In a white dinner jacket (complete with his name embroidered on the pocket), he gleefully places your drinks in front of you, each with its scented red or pink rose.
Even though Colin himself designed the menu, he would prefer to decide for you. Classics will be reimagined, such as the Clean Dirty Martini, which features a frozen cube of olive juice.
The Ritz Pimms meanwhile, contains many secret ingredients, in addition to ginger ale, Champagne, and garnishes of fruit, cucumber, fresh mint, and griottine cherries.
2. Bisou
Address: 15 Boulevard du Temple, 75003 Paris
Although this cocktail bar does not stand out from the outside, it has a unique concept. Bisou also has no drink menu.
Before creating a one-of-a-kind cocktail for you, the waiters and bartenders carefully listen to what you want and what kinds of flavors you prefer.
You’ll be informed of the ingredients that went into your concoction about halfway through the preparation.
The price of each cocktail is 12 euros, which is standard in Paris. This is a fun bar to visit for those who enjoy trying new things and being surprised.
3. Candelaria
Address: 52 Rue de Saintonge, 75003 Paris
Since its inception in 2011, Candelaria has risen to the top of numerous “Best” lists, including a five-year run at the top of the World’s 50 Best Bars. While the bartenders have changed over the years, the drinks have remained the same.
The team likes to experiment with thematic ingredients like avocado and Mezcal to keep things interesting.
Some of the must-try cocktails like the Guatemalan El Sombreron, which has Altos white tequila, Otto’s vermouth, hibiscus, and pink pepper tonic, pay homage to Latin American countries.
4. Danico
Address: 6 Rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France
This posh cocktail bar is hidden behind Daroco Bourse, an Italian trattoria housed in Jean Paul Gaultier’s former flagship store.
It is located in Galerie Vivienne, one of Paris’ most famous arcades. Inside, there are green velvet armchairs, a chevron marble bar, and custom ink-inspired wallpaper designed by French tattoo artist SupaKitch.
The nautically striped bartenders at Danico don’t mind if you enter through Passage Vivienne or the trattoria – just as long as you order any of their fun drinks like the Nut on Cauliflower Street, for example, is made with hazelnut oil cognac, hazelnut milk, cauliflower ice cream, and salt.
5. Le Baron Rouge

Here, cheap wine and good times are the specialties! At Le Baron Rouge, wine glasses start at two euros.
When the weather is nice, customers spill out into the street to drink their wine from the wine barrels that have been set up outside.
This is a relaxed spot next to the Marche d’Aligre, one of Paris’ best markets with an indoor and outdoor food section as well as a flea market.
6. Le Café Charbon

The over-a-century-old Café Charbon is a lovely example of a traditional Parisian brasserie, albeit a little more party-oriented.

7. Le Syndicat

On a rapidly gentrifying street near Gare du Nord in Paris’ 10th arrondissement, Le Syndicat is hidden behind a flurry of forgotten posters.
However, once you’ve passed through the unassuming front door, you’ll find cocktails that are anything but forgettable. The menu was created by co-founders Sullivan Doh and cocktail blogger Romain le Mouellic.
The bar is decorated in a grit-meets-glamour style, and it is one of the first to serve tipples made entirely of French ingredients.
Grab a whisky flight, a six-person rum punch, or a Modern Thyme (Corsican myrtle liqueur, apricot liqueur, and freshly squeezed lime), then take a seat and enjoy some classic hip-hop.
8. Rosa Bonheur

Rosa Bonheur is nestled inside the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Perched high on a hill above the city, it is unquestionably one of the most beautiful bars in Paris.
Locals congregate on the outdoor terrace, which is surrounded by lush greenery, to drink and dance. The charming structure was once an elegant open-air dance hall from the nineteenth century.
Nowadays, the atmosphere is a little more boisterous, especially on summer Sunday afternoons.
Grab a drink from a nearby shop and sit on the grassy slope in front of the bar to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and views of the city if the crowds become too much.
9. Septime La Cave

La Cave is the hip younger sibling of Septime, which is often regarded as one of the best contemporary restaurants in Paris if not all of France.
Wine is the name of the game, and La Cave offers 10 different options by the glass every day. The list favors small producers and natural wines from all over Europe.
If you’re unsure where to start, the bartenders will point you in the right direction—which will almost certainly be something unique.
10. 10 BAR Odéon
Address: 10 Rue de l’Odéon, 75006 Paris
The 10 BAR Odéon has been serving the best sangria in town since 1955. A nice selection of artisanal beers, wine, and classic cocktails are also available.
Expect a low-key and relaxed atmosphere as the owners have worked hard to keep the bar as it was in 1955.
This is a great option for those who want to stay on the Left Bank without spending too much money. They only take cash, so stop by an ATM along the way!
