1. La Château de Sonnay

Emily in Paris was shot entirely in Paris except for one instance when Emily left the comfort of the City of Love.

This was during her visit to Camille’s family when she tried to persuade the champagne company to work with Savoir. She had a relaxing weekend at a Beaujolais wine region château.

However, the location La Château de Sonnay is actually in the Loire Valley. Here, Emily walked through the estate vineyards and indulged in some of the house Champagne.

2.  Place de l’Estrapade

Place de l’Estrapade

It’s a long slog up the stairwell for Emily when she moves into her sixth-floor apartment (no elevator!) in Emily in Paris’ first episode. Originally a maid’s or servant’s room, the top-floor apartment is a chambre de bonne that has been converted into living quarters.

Located in the 5th arrondissement, near the Val-de-Grâce and Sorbonne neighbourhoods, the apartment is in the charming Place de l’Estrapade, a park with a fountain.

3.  La Boulangerie Moderne

La Boulangerie Moderne

Emily goes to La Boulangerie Moderne, a real bakery just a few doors away after she has checked into her apartment. She takes a bite out of a pain au chocolat and then appears to have an out of body experience.

This is not an exaggeration. One of the reasons that French boulangerie pastries are so good is that they must make all of their pastries and bread on the premises to be called an official boulangerie, which means they are baked daily for freshness.

Emily may have gotten lucky and eaten a pain au chocolat right out of the oven, which happens all the time.

4.  Place de Valois

Place de Valois

Emily’s marketing firm, Savoir, is housed in the Place de Valois courtyard. Fans of the TV show will recognize the art gallery, Galerie Patrick Fourtin, which is located right next to Savoir’s office entrance.

Place de Valois is located on Rue de Valois in the 1st arrondissement (across the street from the Louvre), a street that runs along the eastern side of the Jardin du Palais Royal.

5. Jardin du Palais Royal

Within walking distance from Place de Valois/Savoir is the Jardin du Palais Royal. With fountains, hedge-lined walkways, and flowers, it’s a peaceful and lovely setting.

On a park bench in this small public garden, Emily met her new friend Mindy. Emily spent a lot of her lunchtime in this park, which is understandable. It’s an excellent location for taking in the sights of Paris while outside.

A popular destination for Parisians, the Palais-Royal estate is located near the Louvre Museum. Take a seat and admire the view from one of the city’s iconic green chairs, which are surrounded by three centuries of elegant architecture.

6. Latin Quarter

Latin Quarter Paris France

Emily’s apartment at 1 Place de l’Estrapade is just a few steps away from the Latin Quarter.

It’s fantastic that she chose a great neighbourhood to live in because there’s so much to do! Emily’s favourite bakery, Boulangerie Moderne, serves chocolate croissants, and you can also visit the bookshops and the Panthéon.

Restaurants such as Les Deux Compère, where Emily’s handsome neighbour Gabriel worked as a chef, are conveniently located on the Latin Quarter’s square, where you can dine al fresco with friends.

7. Pont Alexandre III

Pont Alexander

The Pont Alexandre III is one of the series’ more touristy filming locations in Paris. It’s where Savoir shoots the risque perfume commercial for client Antoine Lambert.

The video also sparked an interesting conversation between Emily and their client. This is a bridge you won’t want to miss if you’re spending the day wandering the streets of Paris.

The famous Pont Alexandre III, which spans the Seine to Les Invalides, is one of Paris’ most beloved bridges. Its flashy appearance is a magnificent example of the Belle Époque.

It is decorated with 32 ornate candelabras and four statues depicting French history from the Middle Ages to the present.

8. Place Trocadero And Palais De Chaillot

Inside the Musee de l’Homme’s chic Cafe de l’Homme, Emily poses in a stunning black strapless gown while gazing at the glittering Eiffel Tower, creating an image that has become one of the most iconic shots from the series.

This museum is located on Place Trocadero, in a building that is part of the Palais de Chaillot arts and culture complex.

Since it opened its doors in 1937, the centre plaza has become a popular gathering place for visitors looking to catch a glimpse of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

9. Place Dalida

Place Dalida Montmartre Paris France

Emily’s influencer career comes to an end on Paris street, and she and Mindy go for a walk afterwards.

It was named the prettiest street in Paris, according to Mindy and means “the road that leads to the end.” It all works out eventually because Emily’s client Hästens offers to host her for a night under the stars in that very spot.

The street where these scenes were filmed is Place Dalida, between Rue Girardon and Rue de l’Abreuvoir in Montmartre, Paris. However, rather than a mattress to sleep on, there will be plenty of bistros, cafés, and cobblestone streets to explore in this area.

10. Musée des Arts Forains

Musée des Arts Forains

The fairground museum party Emily goes to is held at Musée des Arts Forains, and it’s every bit as enticing as it appears on episode seven.

A truly unique museum by day, it transforms into an extraordinary venue for special events at night, with themes like magic mirrors in a circular circus tent and the delights of Venetian life.

This place is a hit with adults and kids alike because it’s pure theatre, great escapism, and a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

11. Atelier des Lumières

Atelier des Lumières Klimt

Remember Emily’s awkward third-wheel date with Camille and Gabriel at a Van Gogh exhibit? This was filmed in the Atelier des Lumières in Paris, which has become a popular immersive art centre.

Here, light, sound, and video are used to create a one-of-a-kind art experience. If you’re an art lover, this is one of the best places to visit in Paris, along with the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay.

12. Palais Garnier

palais garnier staircase

The breathtaking Palais Garnier was where Emily went to see Swan Lake. Aside from ballet and opera performances, Palais Garnier’s gold-and-gold-painted grand foyer and the opera-library museum are not to be missed.

Emily also visits Pierre Cadault in his box at the Palais Garnier to express her apologies for being ringarde.

Palais Garnier is famous for its grand staircase in addition to being one of the world’s most renowned opera houses. In the episode, In this staircase, Emily accuses Thomas of being a snob as Gabriel had warned her.
